Made from a special reinforced plastic that is soft and flexible, these lateral sidewalls ensure excellent resistance to impacts and stresses during the most intense races. These lateral sidewalls are designed to fit perfectly onto Marka Racing wheels and serve to increase the diameter of the wheel rim edge. The final knife-shaped form of the lateral sidewall is the result of careful development about six months of testing and refinement.
This configuration represents an optimal balance between ground contact and maneuverability, delivering superior performance. During the design process, we carefully analyzed the relationship between the tip and the contact surface.
An excessively thin tip would have provided minimal contact, resulting in a highly directional car but limiting error correction, as well as controlled slipping when necessary. Conversely, a too-wide tip would have increased the contact surface excessively, reducing steering precision and promoting excessive sliding.
Through meticulous experimentation, we identified the ideal compromise: a lateral sidewall width that gives the vehicle impeccable directional accuracy while maintaining a slight slip capability that can be crucial in certain driving situations.
The result is a lateral sidewall that, once mounted on the wheel, significantly improves cornering stability, providing a precise, responsive driving experience with a natural feel. Replacement of the lateral sidewalls: Our kit includes two tools: the first is designed for precise and easy mounting of the lateral sidewalls onto the wheel, ensuring perfect adhesion and an impeccable aesthetic result; the second allows for easy removal.
For optimal performance, it is always recommended to use both tools during installation. This practice guarantees correct installation of the lateral sidewalls.
